Blocks, by fans called brick blocks or block blocks, are 1x1 solid surfaces which are breakable, they can be attached to tracks, and can have wings on them, they are part of the block limit which is 2000. They can contain any course part besides terrain, frozen coins, big coins, key coins, thwomps, pokeys, all bosses, lakitu (the cloud can though) the angry sun, the moon. most gizmos can't be put into blocks besides springs, sideway springs, pow blocks, red pow blocks, p-switches, keys, cursed keys, charvaarghs, porcupuffers and bullies.
If the brick block has coins inside of it, it will contain ten coins, if anything activates it, it will spew out one coin, but if it isn't activated for approximately 5 seconds it will only produce one more coin
If you activate a p-switch all blocks loaded with be turned into coins, they will turn into blocks after the timer is finished, if these coins are collected they will not be turned back into brick blocks
Blocks do not cause scroll stop.
Blocks when jumped from below by the small player it will bump a little bit or activate an item if it has a course part in it. Many course parts interact like this too. These are: Link stabbing a block, Link ground pound, dry bone shell ground pound, big goomba shoe ground pound, small player ground pound and long jump (3D world).
Sometimes, the blocks only break if there's no entity in it, if there's an item in it it will just dispense the course part. Small thwomps, small bullies, player with buzzy shell, small morton ground pound, small bowser ground pound, icicles, all small shells, small spike balls, boomerang, cat scratch, ground pound or jump when big, bullet mask upon collision, red pow box, cannon box cannon, small boom boom, red pow block, super cape twirl, super cape twirl, and yoshi ground pounds regardless of if the player is small or not.
Interestingly, small zappa mechakoopas breaks blocks with nothing in them, however if a course part is in the block the small zappa mechakoopas' zap will for whatever reason won't even activate anything and will just be blocked, similar to a regular ground block.
Blocks are sometimes broken regardless of if there's a course part in the block or not, these are: big boom boom, big thwomps, big bullies, big bowser in NSMBU if he jumps to runs onto/into blocks, big bowser fireballs, big zappa mechakoopa blasts, big shells, big mushroom stomp, big goomba stiletto ground pound, charged fire clown car fire ball, big morton koopa ground pounds, big bowser ground pounds, skewers, bullet bill (3D world) banzai bill (3D world) bob-ombs blasts, link bomb blast, blasta mechakoopa bullet explosion and magikoopa magic.
When given Wings, they move in a wave pattern. In the Classic Game Styles they pass through terrain, while in the Super Mario 3D World Game Style, they turn at them.

add information to the infobox, I accidentally removed it and I don't remember how to edit the info
Rotating blocks or just blocks are SMW exclusive version of regular blocks, these blocks when activated (by the methods mentioned above) turn into a non-solid surface meaning it can't be stood on but it can be passed through (If it has a item it will just behave like a block) These blocks are interacted with through the same means as the regular blocks, with one exception being the fact that you can spin jump on these as a big player to break them, of course if there's an item inside in the block won't be broken.
Appearance[]
In the Super Mario Bros. 3 and New Super Mario Bros. U Game Styles, Course Themes using the Ground palette will switch to the Underground palette in Night mode. The only exceptions are the Super Mario Bros. 3 Underwater Course Theme, which retains its palette during Night, and the Super Mario Bros. 3 Snow Course Theme which gets its own unique palette at Night.

How can we use these in courses?[]
What to do:
- You can put these blocks on tracks as a replacement for snake block
What not to do
- Don't use blocks to have them be used with P-Switches, since the player can just collect the coins, instead use P-Blocks, which do the same but they can't be collected
