Ghost House is one of 10 Course Themes in Super Mario Maker 2, which originated in Super Mario World.
Changes in Night Mode[]
At Night, the lights will dim and only a few objects will have a large shine around them, those being:
- Players
- While riding a Yoshi, players will have a larger shine around them.
- With Super Star invincibility, players will have a very large shine around them that, by default, is large enough the cover the entire screen.
- The Start Arrow Sign and the Level Goal
- Fireballs, Superballs, Acid Balls and Magikoopa Projectiles
- Yoshis
- P Switches
- POW Blocks
- Lava Bubbles
- The Moon
- Burners and Fire Bars
- Super Stars
Unless in the Super Mario Bros. Game Style, all objects give off a faint glow.
If the ON/OFF Switch is OFF, the spotlights will be smaller.
When it is Night in the Ghost House Course Theme in the Super Mario 3D World Game Style through a glitch or hack, the screen will turn completely black.
The Underwater Course Theme shares this effect.

- This is the only Course Theme where stars do not appear in the background at Night.
